Nothing about us
without us

We are the Institute for Accessibility and Artificial Intelligence. We research, build and transfer accessible technology with people and communities — not for them.

What we do

Three lines of work, one purpose

Accessibility, digital inclusion and the critical, responsible use of artificial intelligence, through research, innovation and the social and intercultural appropriation of knowledge.

Priority line 2026–2029

Educational digital accessibility

Converting academic documents and materials into accessible formats, with artificial intelligence and human validation.

In research and development

Accessible content with AI

Audiobooks, transcription, audio games and other content born accessible — not retrofitted later.

Portfolio under construction

Accessibility and responsible AI consulting and auditing

Digital accessibility audits, WCAG compliance, usability and responsible artificial intelligence.

Online services

Free tools, with clear limits

We want anyone who arrives here to find something useful from day one. These are the two services we are building:

  • under construction

    Text accessibility converter

Turns poorly scanned documents, or documents a screen reader cannot handle, into accessible, plain-language versions.

  • in evaluation

    Live transcription and translation

Transcribes speech in real time and translates it into other languages, made for classrooms, gatherings and community spaces.

About us

Five people, one corporation

  • Andrea
  • Sergio
  • Tatiana
  • Mariana
  • Daniel

We incorporated in December 2025 in Medellín as a nonprofit. One of us validates everything we publish with her own assistive technology — and while the photographs arrive, each portrait is the person's initial written in braille.
